insayly — Privacy Policy & Data Usage

insayly is a browser extension that helps advertisers and marketers analyze public advertising activity in the Facebook Ads Library. This page explains what data the extension accesses, how it is used, and what we do and do not do with it.

Privacy Policy

What the extension does

insayly runs only on facebook.com (specifically the Facebook Ads Library). When you open an advertiser's page in the Ads Library, the extension reads the publicly available ad information shown by Facebook (such as ad creatives, sorting position, and related metadata) and computes analytics like ranking, "winners", and velocity over time.

Information we process

• Public ad data from the Facebook Ads Library page you are viewing.
• The advertiser / page identifier you choose to analyze, which is sent to our backend (https://api.insayly.io) to compute and return analytics.
• Local settings and cached results, stored in your browser via the extension's local storage.

Information we do NOT collect

• We do not collect your Facebook login, password, private messages, friends, or personal profile data.
• We do not track your general browsing history outside the Facebook Ads Library.
• We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for advertising.

How the data is used

Processed ad data is used solely to provide the extension's analytics features back to you. The advertiser/page identifiers you analyze are sent to our own server only to generate those analytics and may be cached to improve performance and track changes over time.

Data retention & security

Analytics data is stored on our servers (api.insayly.io) to support historical tracking (e.g. day-over-day rank velocity). Locally cached data lives in your browser and is removed when you uninstall the extension or clear its storage. Data in transit is protected with HTTPS/TLS.

Your choices

You control which advertiser pages are analyzed. You can clear local data at any time from your browser, and uninstalling the extension stops all processing. For data questions or removal requests, contact us at the address below.

Permissions and why we need them

• host_permissions → https://api.insayly.io/* — to send the page identifier you analyze and receive computed analytics from our backend.
• Content scripts on facebook.com — to read public Ads Library content and render insayly's analytics inside the page.
• storage — to save your extension settings and cache analytics locally for performance.
• downloads — used only when you explicitly choose to download ad media (images/videos) to your device.

Data we handle, by category

• Website content — public advertising data from the Facebook Ads Library. Used to provide the extension's features.
• User activity — which advertiser pages you choose to analyze. Used to generate and improve analytics. Not used for advertising or sold to third parties.

What we don't do

• No selling or transferring of data to third parties for purposes unrelated to the extension's single purpose.
• No use of data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.
• No collection of personally identifiable or sensitive personal information.
